Adult Medical Day Care Center at Monroe

Saint Peter's Adult Medical Day Care Center combines the excellence of Saint Peter's University Hospital's nursing and medical care with a beautiful homelike setting. The Center celebrated its 10th anniversary of serving the needs of adults in Monroe Township and surrounding areas in 2007. In 2008, the facility will be renovated to become a best-in-class adult day care center.

Our beautiful new and expanded facility will meet the needs of today's aging population who are physically and cognitively impaired. It will feature small-group activity spaces, a theater and a beauty salon. Warm rich colors, comfortable chairs, soothing quiet areas, a library and a media center will help make our clients feel secure and at home. These renovations, combined with expanded nursing facilities, will make this a one-of-a-kind experience and set a new standard for adult day care in New Jersey.

Participation in an adult day program can delay or eliminate the need for out-of-home placement. Unlike individuals who receive professional in-home care, participants in adult day programs benefit from peer relationships and socialization, which is shown to improve mental health and outlook. The Saint Peter's program also provides nutritious meals and snacks, transportation, wellness monitoring, medication administration, activities, and events.

The Center will introduce a social program and offers therapeutic recreation for patients as well.
