Diagnostic Breast Services and Bone Density Scanning
The Health Center for Women at CARES treats health and wellness issues that affect
women of all ages. The Women's Imaging Center offers mammography and other diagnostic
breast services, including stereotactic biopsy and needle localization, ultrasound,
and bone density scanning for osteoporosis.
Bone density testing is done with dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), the most
advanced measure of bone mass available. The Women's Imaging Center also provides
education and counseling services to patients.
