Regional Perinatal Center
The Regional Perinatal Center at Saint Peter's University Hospital, established
in 1973, is renowned throughout the state for the exceptional level of high-risk
maternity and neonatal care we provide. Our board-certified physicians and specialized
staff care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies and infants born prematurely
or with serious medical issues.
High-risk Pregnancy
Expectant mothers who require specialized attention due to
high-risk pregnancy or medical problems are cared for by maternal-fetal
medicine specialists and an obstetrical medicine specialist. We have the experience,
education and facilities to help ensure the best possible outcomes for both mother
and baby.
Newborn Intensive Care Nursery
Our 54-bassinet
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
is recognized as one of the finest in the area, providing
comprehensive services from our staff of neonatal specialists, including
neonatal physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists and others. Our
NICU was one of the first to be established in the state and is one of the largest
units of its kind on the East Coast.
