Gynecologic Oncology

Saint Peter's offers a wide range of services to assist women in managing the physical and emotional challenges associated with cancers unique to them, including cervical, uterine, ovarian, and other gynecologic cancers. Our expert team is led by John A. Carlson, Jr., M.D., gynecological oncologist and chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. One of the Saint Peter's University Hospital physicians who has made New York magazine's annual list of the area's "Best Doctors," Dr. Carlson specializes in treating gynecologic malignancies and performs complex gynecologic surgery.

Our gynecologic and radiation oncologists treat malignancies of the female reproductive system and perform minimally invasive surgery and radical procedures for cervical, endometrial, ovarian and vulvar cancers in conjunction with radiation therapy.
